The principle of choosing Carpet tiles for home

The principle of decoration style

When choosing carpets, the decoration style should be taken into consideration. For rural or Mediterranean decoration style, carpets with lively colors are suitable, while for European or American style, carpets with noble colors that match the color tone of curtains and other soft decorations are better. Only by adhering to the unity of style and color can your project be perfect and achieve the purpose of adding beauty to it.

The principle of using different carpets for different areas

When purchasing custom carpet tiles for home, carpets in the living room should be distinguished from those in the study and bedroom.

①In general, rectangular carpets are better for indoor corridors;

②Small rectangular or oval carpets are more suitable for entrances, bathroom doors, etc;

③The living room is the most frequently walked area, so it is best to choose durable and dirt-resistant carpets in suitable colors;

④If you want to place a home carpet under the sofa, but the living room area is not too large, it is recommended to choose a carpet that is not too big. Moderately leaving blank space can make the space look more spacious visually;

⑤Irregularly shaped carpets are more suitable for placement under single chairs, which can highlight the chairs themselves. Especially when the style of the single chair is different from that of the sofa, it will not look abrupt.

The principle of home size

In general, if the sofa is not larger than 2.7m, it is recommended to use a 1.7mX2.4m carpet. If the furniture is larger, a 2mX3m carpet is more appropriate. The size of the coffee table should also be taken into consideration to ensure that the proportion between the carpet, sofa, and coffee table is standard. You can also use a relatively small carpet (90cmx160cm) in front of or next to the bed.

Cleaning methods of Carpet tiles for home

Cleaning with detergent

For chemical fiber carpets, use a vacuum cleaner or broom to remove dust first, then dilute the detergent and sprinkle it on the carpet. After waiting for 10-15 minutes, rinse it with water. If you have a water-sucking machine, you can naturally use it to suck up the carpet, or you can use a hair dryer to dry it. For pure wool carpets, dry cleaning is necessary. Use a vacuum cleaner or broom to remove dust first, then use a special cleaner to treat local stains, and then dilute the high-foaming cleaner. After the carpet is dry, use a vacuum cleaner or a clean broom to clean it again.

Cleaning with daily necessities

①Mix flour, salt, and talcum powder with water, add white wine and heat the mixture. When it becomes paste-like, cool it down, cut it into small pieces, and sprinkle it on the carpet. Use a dry brush to brush it;

②Soak a broom in soap (try not to immerse it in too much water), sweep it on thehome carpet, then sprinkle some salt and sweep it again. Salt can absorb dust;

Treating different stains differently

①For small stains such as coffee, cola, or fruit juice on the carpet, use a dry cloth or tissue to absorb the moisture first, then use a wet cloth with vinegar to pat the stain gently. Repeat this step several times to remove the stain;

②For grease stains on the carpet that cannot be removed by cleaning agent, use alcohol to clean;

③For wine stains on thehome carpet, use clean water to clean them first. If the stains have lasted for a long time, use a water-soluble solution of ammonia water and borax. If it is a wool or silk carpet, use oxalic acid to clean it;

④For fruit juice residue on the carpet, scrape off the fruit residue, suck up the juice, and mix 1 tsp of detergent and 1 tsp of white vinegar with about 1 liter of warm water. Pour the solution on the stain, then dry the carpet. If the stain is still there, repeat the above steps. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean it slowly.
